Timeline visualisations of animal reproduction

What a way
What a way to make it through
What a day
What a day to take to
A wild child

Enya, “Wild Child” (2001)

During my veterinary studies, I procrastinated a lot creating veterinary diagrams and I want to use this blog to share some of my favorites. They are not related to epidemiology, but they are nice data visualization ideas.

Today’s diagrams focus on animal reproduction. Each of them illustrates the estrous cycle and pregnancy timeline of a domestic animal species. The pregnancy timeline displays key gestational events, prevailing hormones, methods for pregnancy monitoring, and preferred pregnancy termination methods.

I did this in 2018 with my animal reproduction notes, but I don’t have the sources. If someone who knows more about the subject wants to check them, it would be much appreciated.
