About me

I am Natalia Ciria Artiga, a veterinarian and pre-doctoral researcher at the Department of Animal Health and Anatomy of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). My research focuses on the development of quantitative risk analysis models to prevent the introduction of diseases into farms.

I am interested in data science, visualization, and mathematical modeling applied to animal (and global) health. You can see my scientific contributions on the Work page, and some examples of data visualizations in the dataviz tag. I’m an R nerd and I have developed packages such as parametra and mcmodule. In the field of visualization, I also use PowerBI and I am learning some JavaScript (with Observable and D3.js).

If you have projects in mind related to epidemiology and data visualisation, I’d love to collaborate! Probably not right now, as I am working full-time on my PhD… but I am open to hearing your proposal!
